St Barts Gourmet Festival

Who can resist the St. Barts Gourmet Festival? Now in its eighth year, this international Caribbean food festival is this year scheduled to be held from 10-14 November and is sure to please everyone in your party. The event boasts a roster of famed French chefs cooking alongside some of St Barts best talent, offering one-of-a-kind gourmet tasting menus for the most discerning epicureans at restaurants across St Barts, including in Gustavia, St Bart’s capital and main port. Renowned chefs in the 2021 line-up include Éric Frechon, Pierre Gagnaire, Jean-Rémi Caillon, Dimitri Droisneau, Matthias Mare and Jean Imbert. A bartender contest and an amateur pastry contest are also on the schedule.

St Barth Cata-Cup Regatta

Next up: Sailors and spectators alike will want to make sure they have a St. Barts luxury villa rental reserved in time for the 13th edition of the St. Barth Cata-Cup regatta. The race for small catamarans runs daily from 17-21 November at St. Jean Beach. Organisers say there’s “a wind of optimism” around this year’s adventures and festivities, which were postponed from 2020 due to the pandemic.

St Barths Christmas Village

The delight and wonder of the holiday season are celebrated at the St. Barths Christmas Village in Gustavia, from 3-20 December.

Browse the charming Christmas market at the Général de Gaulle quay at the Port of Gustavia, featuring works of local artisans, local food vendors, and — of course — the opportunity for children to meet Santa Claus (known on island as Père Noël). This is the perfect Gustavia and St Barts event to shop for local gifts, sweets, and treats for everyone on your holiday list.

New Year’s Eve Regatta

What could possibly top spending New Year’s Eve in this fabulous seaside setting? Ring in the New Year in grand style with a full slate of fun! The New Year’s Eve Regatta is billed as “a sailing race for fun” around the island. Festivities continue with music and dancing throughout the evening, as well as parties at various restaurants and an awe-inspiring midnight fireworks display at Gustavia harbour.

St Bart’s Music Festival

Finally, extend your stay and usher in 2022 by attending the St. Barts Music Festival, typically scheduled in mid-January (dates to be released soon) and of the oldest and most popular St Barts events. St. Barts has been hosting the international festival since 1985, featuring soloists and principals in classical, opera, ballet, and jazz. Performers hail from the United States, including the famed Juilliard School in New York and the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia, as well as from Montreal, Paris, and London, among other cities.
