I loved last month’s beautiful snow. My skin, on the other hand, found the whole thing massively traumatic. Ravaged both by the extreme sub zero temperatures outside and the drying affects of the central heating inside. While all that was going on, I turned a year older and, as time passes, I’m finding it harder to deny the evidence of the passage of time on my temples. The treatment
Therapist Sally Boden shows me to the divinely scented treatment room where we run through some quick fire questions to determine whether I have any specific requirements. I’m then settled on the bed and Sally sets to work, starting with every facialist’s friend, the double cleanse. Next up, a full skin analysis under the spotlight, followed by a deep exfoliation. The facial massage that comes next is so relaxing that it almost puts me to sleep. An anti-ageing vitamin masque comes after, and finally, Sally applies firming serum, moisturiser and SPF. The results are immediately clear, my skin looks plump and glowing, and that isn’t diminished on waking the next day. I’m so impressed I go without CC cream, virtually unheard of for me. And I head straight back to the clinic to stock up on some products from the range.
