Best space for the big day

Where to hold your wedding in London

With so many great options on our doorstep, it’s hard to know where to start, but here’s just a few of our favourite London event spaces:

1. Dartmouth House (main image)

If you like the idea of a French château, but can’t tear yourself from the Capital, this grand Mayfair mansion may be just the ticket. A gorgeous terrace provides the perfect backdrop for drinks receptions. (dartmouthhouse.co.uk)

2. The Globe

Conjure the magic of the world’s most-read playwright for your own enchanting love story. The Underglobe seats up to 350 and features a full-size model oak tree. (swanlondon.co.uk)

3. The Barbican Conservatory

A lush tropical oasis in the centre of London, the Barbican Conservatory is home to exotic fish and 2,000 species of tropical plants, making for some seriously stunning photo ops. (barbican.org.uk)

4. Banqueting House

If you’re after something really regal, with its magnificent pillars, glittering chandeliers and Rubens ceiling, the main hall here should do it. It’s been hosting right royal knees-ups since 1622. (hrp.org.uk)

5. Lindley Hall

With its stunning vaulted glass ceiling, this Grade II listed venue is perhaps one of the only locations in central London where you can say “I do” under the stars without worrying about rain stopping play. And at 875 sq m, it is big enough to host weddings on a spectacularly grand scale. (rhhonline.co.uk)
