J Sheekey Atlantic Bar

Good news for lovers of seafood: to mark its 10-year anniversary, J Sheekey Atlantic Bar will host some of the UK’s finest seafood chefs in a year-long series of very special supper clubs. Every six to eight weeks, a different chef has been invited to work beside executive head chef Andrew McLay to create a one-off three-course menu. Additionally, an exclusive collaboration with Plymouth Gin will introduce a bespoke cocktail menu to complement the supper club dishes.

Donning his whites on 17 April will be Michelin-starred Mark Sargeant of Rocksalt in Folkestone. Having worked with Gordon Ramsay for 13 years, Sargeant made the decision to go it alone and moved back to his native Kent in 2011. He prides himself on serving the freshest fish caught by local day boats and serving produce local to the Folkestone area. His supper club menu will reflect the dishes from his own kitchen, served in keeping with J Sheekey Atlantic Bar’s signature sharing-plate style. All that’s missing is the view.
