Picnic: Feasting Al Fresco

With the news that we’ll be able to meet with friends and family outdoors this month, we’ve been researching posh picnics – we might not be able to get back to our favourite restaurants just yet, but that doesn’t mean we can’t socialise in style.

Take the latest offering from Bocca di Lupo: delivered to doorsteps across London in time for lunch, the new picnic feasts include all of the essential ingredients for a truly special al fresco Italian experience. The feasts arrive chilled, ready to grab and take to the nearest park, stuffed with a generous selection of classic Italian snacks and plates. Food is inspired by founder Jacob Kenedy’s travels in the country, think wafer-thin Pane Carasau (Sardinian flatbreads) served with a pecorino cream for dipping; freshly sliced prosciutto di San Daniele; grilled aubergines marinated with roast tomatoes, chilli and mint; and, for the sweet toothed, Bocca di Lupo’s house-made marbled ricotta and chocolate cake. A bottle of Gelupo’s very own Prosecco, mineral water, and eco-friendly cutlery, glasses and napkins complete the offering. Jacob says: “There is no better way to enjoy one another’s company than over plates of good food and with good wine. We hope to give you the chance to have both, and so created the perfect Italian picnic for you to enjoy outside. The only thing we can’t guarantee is the weather!” We’re so excited about seeing loved ones again, we’re even willing to overlook an April shower.

Priced at £86, including delivery, Bocca di Lupo At Home’s picnic feast is available to order online (boccadilupoathome.com)
