Lee Broom's Tree of Glass at The Aqua Shard

Fancy drinks with a London view?

There are few spots quite as breathtaking as Aqua Shard. More so, this year, after Lee Broom was tasked with creating a Christmas spectacle to rival the skyline view from its triple storey glass atrium. The designer’s Tree of Glass, manufactured by Nude, is a take on the traditional Christmas tree, inspired by the striking architecture of The Shard and its iconic silhouette on the London skyline.

The illuminated sculpture is made from 245 hand-blown glass LED pendant lights floating in formation. Each of the 245 pendant lights is available to purchase from Lee’s website, with all proceeds being donated to the British Red Cross. Additionally, over the festive period, a special cocktail and dessert are being sold, with 50 per cent of the sale price going to the charity, and an optional £1 will be added to each bill, to be donated directly to the British Red Cross. We’ll drink to that. Pendant lights cost £150 and will be delivered in January when the tree is dismantled.
