Feast and be Thankful

Holiday season across the Atlantic begins in earnest this month, with Thanksgiving, a national holiday that began as a day of giving thanks for the bountiful harvest.

To get into the spirit of the beloved tradition, Fitzrovia’s Riding House Café is throwing a Thanksgiving feast on Thursday 28 November. Guests will be greeted with a seasonal cocktail, The Ginger Pilgrim, made from Bourbon, honey, lemon and ginger, before the banquet begins in earnest.

Slow roasted Norfolk Bronze turkey will be cooked in herb butter and indulgent sides will include cornbread and sausage stuffing; maple-buttered sweet potatoes; mac and cheese; creamed corn casserole; glazed sprouts with smoky bacon; and green beans with praline. Calvados gravy and cranberry and confit orange relish will provide the finishing touches.

Afterwards, a choice of two all American favourites will be on offer: choose from pumpkin brûlée pie or pecan pie, each served with hand whipped vanilla cream.

Priced at £40 per person, available for lunch and dinner on 28 November.
