Dine out at DSTRKT

Great for a girls night out, DSTRKT’s convenient location and stylishly catchy name won’t disappoint as a destination. The glasses dangling from the ceiling in combination with the mood lighting reflecting in the walls of dynamically cut mirrors, gives the feel of a chic underground club, that seems to become increasingly busy throughout the night and week.

We advise arriving with a table though. The dance space is limited, and it’s a good idea to have somewhere to retreat to. Perhaps more importantly, the VIP zone offers you all the alcohol required to sustain the night, without the hassle of hazardous trips to and from the bar.

What surprised us was the restaurant: as a club, Londoners have acknowledged DSTRKT as a staple in the Capital’s nightlife ventures. But in the next door room to what later becomes a jumble of erratic bodies, we were treated to the ideal start to our night. Yaneff serves delectable dishes with a modern American flare, perfect for sharing, lining and tasting. Dishes range from platters of lightly crisped seabass, to what appears to be a variation of a refined roast. Able to sit parties from two to twenty-plus, the restaurant works perfectly as a setting for celebration. The elegantly cubed canapés, beautifully presented add to the air of sophistication, quickly making Yaneff one of the most sought after reservations, with some made months in advance.

Upstairs too there’s a quieter area, away from the hustle and bustle, allowing for Yaneff to stand as a restaurant in its own right, without the expectation of clubbing after dining. And the laid back sofas, surrounded by DSTRKT’s impressive wine collection, to point and choose your poison from, allows for a more relaxed atmosphere with the same exquisite cuisine to start or end your night.
