Can’t stand the heat…

White-Heat-25-final-coverFoodie fangirls and boys, take note – if you go down to Fortnum & Mason this week, you’re sure of a big surprise (and, no, it’s not team Fabric still recovering from Burns Night supper there on Saturday): the much-adored, much-feared culinary wunderkind turned much-adored, much-feared cheffing institution that is Marco Pierre White will be making his way in store to sign copies of the special anniversary edition of his cookbook-bible, White Heat 25. When White Heat first came out 25 years ago, it was received as groundbreaking (that, and ‘gastroporn’), and it remains wildly influential – a bookshelf staple for any respectable gourmand.

Now, cooking’s many-Michelin-starred enfant terrible has revised the beloved book for its 25th anniversary, adding 64 extra pages of all-new recipes, illustrations and behind-the-scenes snooping. Marco will be making his only London appearance this Thursday to sign copies ahead of its release next month, so we strongly suggest you get out of the kitchen, and amp up the heat in Fortnum’s food hall instead.
