With its roots in Japan’s only paper industry show, held since 1965, a quiet celebration of perhaps the most humble material opens this November. Presenting the works of 15 creators across art, animation, architecture, fashion, graphic design and literature, the exhibition serves to highlight our most innovative ways with paper.
Focusing on texture, colour and technique, Subtle invites visitors to observe each intricate piece up close and in minute detail – and that’s the only way to fully appreciate Misawa Haruka’s hyper-faceted work, Paper Flower.
