Roll out the red carpet for dogs in need

If you’ve a four-legged friend, you’ll know well the power of those big brown eyes: looking lovingly at you; looking lovingly at the door; back to you; back to the door. Whatever the weather, before you know it you’re puddle-hopping on the Heath.

This week, though, you can shelter from any wet weather without forgetting man’s best friend as Hampstead’s Everyman Cinema screens the puppy love-ing Four Tails. Set exclusively on the Heath, the film tells the, ahem, ‘tail’ of four friends and their canine chums. Featuring several well-known faces from the small and big screens, the film has been written and produced by Hampstead resident Georgia Slowe, and features some rousing performances from the pooches – many in their first acting role, though you’d never know it from the calibre of tail-wagging.

The screening takes place this Sunday and will be followed by talks and a cuppa, with all proceeds going to North London charity All Dogs Matter. Get your tickets here, then get suited, booted and glossy-coated.
