Literature at Keats House
This year, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein turns 200. Two centuries since its publication, this seminal horror/sci-fi story continues to fascinate and Keats House in Hampstead is celebrating with a special late night opening, eerily entitled My Hideous Progeny.
Discover the power of the original novel through readings (as part of the international Frankenreads events programme), join a Gothic tour, and have a go at using ink and quill pens to begin your own masterpiece.
There’s another reason to celebrate – 31 October is also Keats’ 223rd birthday. Visitors can raise a glass to the poet at the pop-up bar on the night.
