Grand Designs Live

We’ll admit he’s our guilty pleasure crush in a favourite, maverick university lecturer kind of way. You know, the kind who’d take you for a pint after class to discuss the finer merits of Jacobean revenge tragedy, or in this case, the architectural creative process. Just us? Well maybe, but entirely imagined undergraduate infatuation or no, surely everyone loves Kevin McCloud?

Next month, Kevin and co will be treading the boards at the UK’s leading contemporary home show, Grand Designs Live, as it returns for its tenth year running. The outrageously successful, ultimate destination for home owners and self-builders, the exhibition at Excel will (for nine days between 3 and 11 May), showcase a range of inspirational and innovative ideas to get your creative juices flowing when it comes to that dream des res.

With sections including Grand Interiors, Grand Kitchens & Bathrooms, Grand Gardens and Grand Food & Housewares, there’s no doubt as to where this show is leading: one very grand affair. But that’s not all – Fabric readers can get their mitts on a very special offer: two VIP tickets for £40, (at £39 each, that’s practically buy one, get one free), with the exclusive code FABVIP when booking tickets online and in advance. VIP tickets include fast-track entry to the show, exclusive entry to the VIP lounge throughout the day, a glass of bubbly upon arrival, complimentary Miele coffee, a copy of Grand Designs magazine and a show guide as well as the ‘shop and drop’ cloakroom facility. Phew! If you’ve got your own grand designs, this is strictly not to be missed.
