EGGS AND THE CITY

While many of us will be escaping the city to go in search of the Easter Bunny, a lungful of fresh countryside air and, of course, a slap up Sunday roast chez Mum and Dad, there’s definitely something to be said about staying in town this weekend and enjoying the Capital’s Easter offerings, too. (£39.95) New for 2015, chocolatiers to Her Majesty The Queen, no less, Prestat have come up with a real treat for chocoholics and cake-lovers alike: their decadent Red Velvet Truffle egg. (£15) And, if death by chocolate was in fact possible, it’s best to go out in style: fresh from Harrods, the Easter Simnal Truffle Eggs are truly devastating – in the best possible way. (£3.95 each)
