Spice it up

What’s your aphrodisiac of choice? Oysters, perhaps? Avocados, those sensuous pear-shaped fruit ? Or chocolate, one of the most popular of all? But really, anything can be an aphrodisiac, as we learned at The Mindful Kitchen. Anything at all that provokes a memory, a feeling, or the anticipation of the fun to come – as long as we think about it in the right mindset. In Elizabeth I’s time, it was potatoes, those exotic tubers from another land, arriving with the returning explorers and their tales of adventure which excited her Majesty. Nowadays we quaff Champagne, shuck oysters and scoff chocolate especially on Valentine’s Day, but why…?
