Easy steps to instant calm
Always racing around? Georgie Wolfinden, of glowgetter, offers some advice for a more tranquil you.
‘When I have a lot on and need to clear my headspace and prepare for a good night’s sleep I cut down on stimulants such as tea, coffee and alcohol,’ says Georgie. ‘I also ban TV and indulge in some of my favourite wellbeing treats.’
After a stressful day try these:
- Replace TV with a good book – at the moment I am curling up with Meditations from the Mat by Rolf Gates and Katrina Kenison. It puts everything in perspective and helps to make you appreciate every moment on and off the yoga mat.
- Drink green juice instead of water in the evening. My favourite blend for balancing the adrenals is a mix of celery, fennel, cucumber and watercress. This has the added benefit of making the skin glow too the morning after.
- Just before bed, spritz your face with MV Organics Rose Toning Mist then press their Rose Skin Booster onto your damp skin – this helps to nourish the skin and balance the emotions. MV’s range is as pure as it gets.
- Last but not least treat yourself to a squirt of Sprayology’s SleepEase (a blend of homeopathic remedies which help you drift of to sleep). If I really want a luxurious treat I put on my special anti aging pillow case by Holistic Silk – it feels good on the skin, hopefully will help keep wrinkles at bay – well that if my husband stops trying to swipe it from me in the middle of the night.’
